Burgundy Pantsuit

Burgundy pantsuit from Roland Mouret, worn several times in the early 2020s. First seen in December 2022 on their trip to Boston, Kate wore it twice in 2023 (right), and in October 2024 (left) to an investiture held by William at Windsor Castle.

The appearance at the investiture was a surprise, as Kate had ceased most official public appearances due to her cancer issue. However, she wanted to meet Liz Hatton, a teen photographer with terminal cancer whose public 'bucket list' included photographing a royal and who was invited to the ceremony by William to do so when he leanred of it.

By Roland Mouret's ready-to-wear label, who by this time had been acquired by a offshore investment company, the Cady blazer and wide legged pants were in acetate and polyester.

This recreation for the Franklin Mint Kate Middleton doll is in a linen/cotton blend. The jacket is fully lined in rose and features the slant pockets and cuff buttons of the original. The pants are unlined and are open at the bottom to accept the stand. To reduce bulk, the top is actually an inset of beige linen. All pieces close with snaps. Shoes are from the Franklin Mint Kate Middleton Engagement doll.
