Black and White Pakistan Outfit

On the last day of their October 2019 tour of Pakistan, William and Kate visited the Army Canine Centre in Islamabad, a bomb sniffing dog breeding and training center. Although Kate's outfit looked like a fairly traditional Pakistani outfit, it was in fact a combination of pieces from English and Pakistani labels - a black crepe coat by Beulah of London, white pants, a traditional white kurta, and a dupatta (scarf) by Maheen Khan, who early in her career ran an embroidery house used by Catherine Walker, a label worn by Kate and also famously the favorite of Diana, Priness of Wales. This recreation for the Franklin Mint vinyl Kate Middleton doll consists of white pants, black coat, and scarf. The coat is in crepe, as was the original, and features front buttons and satin collar and cuffs of the original. The front closure is faux, it actually closes in the back with snaps. It's fully lined in white to prevent staining. The 'kurta' is actually just a cotton inset under the front of the coat to reduce bulk. Pants are in white linen and the dupatta (scarf) is in white point d'esprit lace. Shoes from S'nE.
