In silk crepe de chine, it was from the Spring 2018 collection of Alessandra Richards, which was described as having a 40's vibe inspired by the 1945 photograph of a sailor kissing a nurse in Times Square. It was a popular dress worn by a lot of celebrities including Christie Brinkley and Daisy Ridley, and even showed up at the May wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, worn by the bride's co-star Abigail Spencer. Kate wore this again in May of 2019, on a pre-D-Day visit to Bletchley Park (below, right). It originally retailed for a bit over $1,400. |
