Classic Diana look - a Catherine Walker coatdress with big brimmed hat by Philip Sommerville. This was worn to the Order of the Garter ceremony in June, 1990. For official functions, Diana liked to tailor her outfits to be appropriate for the event, and she wore red and white several times to the Garter ceremony, as it blended perfectly with the red Guards uniforms. It later went with her on her first solo tour, to Pakistan in 1991. She wore it for the official portrait with her staff (below) |
